As I was going through my iPhone recently, I came across these photos:
- The dock is officially open for the season. The new umbrella that shades the sectional has been installed. The girls have already spent time on the dock sun bathing. They’ve also ventured down the ladder that connects the dock to the bay, to play in the water and on the little island by the dock. Doug and I have spent a few weekends out there as well, enjoying good music, drinks, conversation, and time with family and friends.
- Doug’s brother Denny and S-I-L Kathy came for a visit a few weeks ago, and we reaped the benefit of a staycation while they were here. Jeff, Doug’s oldest brother joined us for 2 days as well. We started our staycation with a boat ride, and lunch at Bahama Breeze.
In the evening, we walked downtown for 3rd Friday, the harbor’s once a month celebration that hosts vendors, food stands, and live music.
Over the weekend, we went boating and tubing several times, and even stopped by the Burger Throw Down via boat at the marina downtown.
We did lots of cooking because that’s what Webber brothers do when they get together. We ate well.
It was a great week with family, and I love that Doug had quality time with both of his brothers.
- Doug and I got lucky a few Sunday’s ago. Both girls spent the day with friends, so we enjoyed brunch together at Cafe Carmel. I highly recommend this place to locals. I enjoyed endless Mimosa’s and Bellini’s, while Doug savored a few Bloody Mary’s. We ordered a steak and egg platter, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles, to compliment our drinks.
The rest of the day is for our memory only.
- A week ago, nurses around the world including me, celebrated Nurses Week. I’m so proud to serve and be apart of a team that helps save lives everyday. I love what I do, I’m so grateful to be celebrating 2 years as an RN.
