Christmas Break

Life has been filled with constant motion for a while now. The new year came quickly. I started the bachelors program, and Doug has traveled a lot already. The girls are staying busy with gymnastics, dance, school and friends.

I’ve longed to sit and update this home of memories, with pictures from Christmas break.

It was a wonderful season.

We spent time baking cookies with cousins, Christmas shopping, and watching Christmas movies.

On Christmas Eve, despite the fact that loads of presents still needed wrapping, we decided to spend the day on the boat.

It’s a Christmas Eve tradition to open one gift that evening, and watch a Christmas movie together as a family.

Doug prepared cheese fondue, with a plate of apples, sausage and bread for dipping, to along with the viewing of Home Alone 2. It was phenomenal evening. Time with the 3 people I cherish the most, is my favorite thing to do.

We awoke to pounding on the bedroom door, by two anxious little girls around 7:30 am.

After breakfast and coffee, we started gifts. Sara wanted to give Sophie the Christmas gift she bought her first, and then Sophie gave Sara her gift. It was a perfect start to the morning.

We played with out new toys for a while, before we headed to the Negini’s for a gift exchange. Melissa is the girls nanny, and her parents our dear friends, but they’re more like family to us.

Afterwards, we headed to my parents for Christmas dinner with my family. We enjoyed a lovely dinner, time with family, and more presents.

It was a wonderful Christmas break! Happy New Year friends and family.
