Sara’s 11th Birthday

Sara’s 11! Wow. To celebrate this transition from child to tween, kids menu to adult menu (as she’s completely offended now when a waitress hands her crayons and a coloring page), elementary school to middle school, we invited family and a few close friends for lunch and partying at our house.

The party began at 12, or maybe 12:05, as Doug walked in from a business trip, just in time to quickly whip up a bowl of guacamole, to go along with the other food we had pre-made two days before.

Sara's 11th birthday

I had worked the 2 days before (13 hr. shifts), but I must say, the party was a success, despite the fact that most of the party setup took place that morning.

Guests trickled in a little after 12 and included:

  • Mia and Pappa
  • Gigi and Pepa
  • Aunt Wendy
  • Aunt Emmy
  • Frankie
  • Lilly
  • Audrey
  • Aunt Kristen
  • Uncle Sai
  • Allie
  • Olivia
  • Dayna
  • Lea
  • Emma
  • Melissa
  • Dario
  •  Lisa

The kids jumped in the huge bounce house for an hour, before it was time for lunch.

Sara loves taco’s, so that was her request for her birthday lunch.

Additional bouncing took place after lunch, prior to gifts and birthday donuts.

Sara’s gift included, but were not limited to:

  • Heelie’s- shoes with wheels
  • Bath and Body Works lotions, sprays and soap
  • Bath Bomb’s and soaps
  • Mini Claw machine (like the big claw machine that sits in the corner of restaurants, in which the player looses loads of quarters in an attempt to capture a cheap stuffed toy)
  • Lip Balm kit
  • Bracelet making kit
  • Journal
  • 3D pen
  • Clothing
  • Lip balms
  • Gymnastics mat
  • $$

I know there was more, but my memory escapes me.

As family departed, the “after party” began. Sara requested special time with just her friends, so we headed to Airheads Trampoline Arena, via Uber for an afternoon of high end trampoline jumping, arcade games, pizza and fun with friends!

It was a great day celebrating Sara!

Happy birthday Sara B!

You are a beautiful, creative, and kind young lady. We love you so much, and wish you another year of fun, love, success, and exciting new experiences in middle school!

Love,

Mom
