Christmas 2014

At 7am Christmas morning, we heard a series of soft knocks on our door followed by loud announcements that it was Christmas morning. A “Good morning! Merry Christmas mom and dad!”, was the wake up call we received from 2 very anxious and excited little girls.

Daddy ran for coffee’s while I waited with the girls, who stood staring over the gifts that  Santa had delivered. While we waited, we discovered a note left on our dining table from our elf Charles Kringles Webber, and a bite taken from the chocolate chip cookie that we left for Santa.

After daddy arrived home with our hot drinks, and got the video camera set up, we let the girls open their stockings.

Then it was time for gifts. Gifts from mom and dad, gifts from Nona and Grandpa Webber and gifts from Santa. We took turns opening gifts so that we could see what each person received.

Sara’s gifts included:

  • Clothing
  • A package of EOS lip balm
  • New shoes
  • A new doll
  • Encyclopedia of Me journal
  • Art set
  • How to Draw book
  • Soft blanket
  • Remote control Barbie car
  • American Girl doll kitchen set
  • iPad mini

Christmas 2014

The girls spent the morning playing with their new toys, and they especially loved the new Barbie remote control cars.

Doug and I spent some time in the kitchen making deviled eggs and stuffing, our designated food items for Christmas dinner at my parents. Then we walked over to Melissa’s house (the girls nanny) for more gifts. Melissa and her family are not only neighbors, but really good friends. They’re our other family, and they love time with the girls!

Dario got the girls (and Doug) an old record player that he found at a thrift shop a while back. It was awesome and so thoughtful. Doug collects old radio’s, and now can add this to his collection!

Around 3 pm, we headed to St. Pete., to celebrate with my family. The girls love being with their family and all their cousins.

We had a lovely Turkey dinner together, enjoyed playing with the train track that Pappa set up, opened lots of gifts, devoured desserts, and enjoyed being with one another.

It was another great Christmas! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Love,

Doug, Lorena, Sara and Sophie

And a Happy New Year!
