Soph lost her 1st tooth on Tuesday night! It’s been wiggling around in her mouth for the past month and then it was hanging by a thread on Tuesday night. So, I said to her, “just take it out Sophie” and she said, “ok” and took it out right then and there. Then I said, “Thanks. See how easy that was?”. No drama around here. Then she danced around the room and had me text the family to announce the news.
One of the scariest things about being a parent is having to deliver $$ under the pillow of a (hopefully) sleeping baby. You watch for a minute to make sure drool is coming out the side of the child’s mouth, call the child’s name a few times and ask if they want to get up for ice cream, and observe the breathing pattern of your sweet baby to ensure that they are in the 4th stage of NREM sleep before attempting the move. Because, if you get caught, then game over and not only for Tooth Fairy, but for the Elf that sits upon the shelf, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. We had success and Sopha still believes. Phewwwwww.
