Last night Sara B. and I attended the Taylor Swift Red concert with our friends Laura and Kelly Hoeft.
The show was phenomenal, beyond what I can describe in words.
We had amazing seats and thank you Doug for the lens you bought me last Christmas. I was able to take some great shots with it.
Ed Sheeran performed the opening act. Terrific.
The production, costuming, lights, and performance was brilliant.
Ms. Swift has a way of engaging her audience by making the fans feel as though they’re her BFF. She has such a “real” nature about her. She made sure to get out into the audience as well, by utilizing cat walks, floating stages and the shoulders of male performers who carried her into the screaming crowd of little 7 year olds, teenagers and desperate housewives.
She is truly one of the most amazing performers and there wasn’t a moment that we felt even a tinge of boredom approach. There were so many costume changes and lots of storytelling through the set design and costumes of the dancers.
Sara didn’t say much. She did sing and scream a lot. I watched as her eyes observed the teen girl fans screaming around her. I watched her watch Taylor. I watched her be inspired. I watched the longing in her eyes to perform on the stage. I know my Sara B. She’s a performer and the wheels were turing. She’s already written a new song today and hasn’t stopped strumming her guitar. I’m excited for her and I love that she was inspired last night.
