I made a new type of scone today. Strawberry Rosemary scones for tea time with a few of my girlfriends. They were good. Different for sure.
For lunch my girlfriend Erin B. made wonderful brie, tomato, and arugula panini’s for me and 2 of of our other freinds. It was fabulous. Then we sipped on Teavana tea, enjoyed classical music playing in the background and discussed a few different topics in the few hours we spent together. It was a great afternoon.
When Doug got home from work we watched Snow Buddies movie with the girls and ate popcorn and snow caps for our Friday night movie night. It was a fun time cuddling with them on the couch and being together as a family. Then we put them to bed.
Doug made me a fabulous meal that consisted of filet mignon, seared scallops, roasted carrots in balsamic reduction, and parmesan risotto. He set up one of our card tables in the front room in front of our fireplace so that we could enjoy dinner and date night “in”. Perfect company. Perfect wine. Perfect food. Perfect fire.
Between the scones, panini, steak, scallops and wine I had one very great culinary day.
